Family BBQ / Buffet

We have held this event for several years on a Sunday lunchtime in the summer. The original format was a BBQ, with the men slaving over the hot coals to cook the meat, and the ladies preparing salads and other food to accompany it.

In 2005, we decided to break with tradition and have a cold buffet, with all the food prepared in advance. This took place on Sunday 10th July, and after a week of uncertain weather, the day itself dawned fine, dry and warm. The gazebos which had been arranged in case of damp weather were needed instead to provide shade from the strong sunshine!

The next Summer Buffet will take place on Sunday 13th July 2008 at Malcolm and Marilyn's garden at Cuttings. Invitations to members will be sent out in due course.
