Here are the dates of forthcoming events. Some are members' events and invitations will be sent out beforehand, but please make a note of the dates in your diary now.

Sunday 14th September - Boules at The Crown - 3 pm

Come along and play boules in the garden of the Crown, one of Newick's best-kept secrets. £5 entry fee per team of 2. The Crown have also kindly offered to provide free sandwiches to all players.

27th-28th September - Joint Committee Meeting in Le Touquet

Members of our committee will be travelling to Le Touquet to have a meeting with our counterparts from Itteville. This is particularly important this time, because there have been some major political upheavals over there, and it will be a great opportunity to introduce ourselves to the new Mayor of Itteville who has kindly agreed to come to the meeting.

Saturday 4th October - Salsa Evening at the Village Hall - 7:30 pm for a 8 pm start

This is a new event for us. Come along and dance Salsa! There will be a beginners session starting at 8 pm, so even if you have two left feet, you can learn the moves. By the end of the evening, you will be dancing away like an expert. We will also have a licensed bar and cocktails (Margueritas have been mentioned, for those who are aficionados of such things!). This is an open event, so all are welcome.

Saturday 11th October - Skittles Evening at the Village Hall - 5 pm - 7:30 pm and 8 pm - 11 pm

Building upon the success of last year's event, we have decided to run two sessions. The first at 5 pm will be for families, so we hope that a large number of youngsters will come and play. We will then have a short break and start the second session at 8 pm. A licensed bar will be available, and we will also be selling pasties and other hot snacks. Tickets are £2 per person at the door, open to all.

Friday 5th December - AGM

Details to be announced, but we always try to keep the formalities brief and then enjoy a buffet supper and glass or two. All members and prospective new members welcome.
